Service Description

Stillness offers a different entry point into yoga. Where movement builds capacity through action, stillness works through pause — allowing the body and mind to settle without effort or demand. This is a deeply restorative practice designed to support rest, integration, and quiet awareness. The practice of stillness In these sessions, movement is minimal and support is generous. You’ll rest in long-held, fully supported shapes using bolsters, blankets, and eye pillows. Postures are held for several minutes, giving the body time to soften and for effort to gradually release. Sessions may also include yoga nidra or other guided practices that support deep rest and steady awareness. There’s no striving here. No performance. Just space — to breathe, to feel, and to rest without needing to earn it. What to expect The studio is softly lit and calm. You’ll be guided into a comfortable position and supported throughout the session. Gentle sensory elements — such as low light, subtle scent, or quiet sound — may be used to create a settled atmosphere. Some people drift into sleep. Others remain quietly aware. Both are welcome. Stillness practice can support: * the release of habitual tension * a quieter, more settled mind * deeper rest than is easy to access day-to-day * integration alongside more active movement Over time, many people notice a renewed sense of steadiness — the kind that comes from allowing rather than pushing. This practice may be for you if… * you’re drawn to rest that feels intentional rather than indulgent * you carry tension from a full or demanding life * you find it difficult to truly switch off * you want a practice that complements more active classes * you’re curious about the strength that comes from softness You don’t need to “do” anything in Stillness. You simply need to arrive and allow yourself to rest. A quiet strength Stillness is not collapse or withdrawal. It’s the pause that allows everything else to integrate. A reminder that rest is not the opposite of strength — it’s part of it. Practical note on access Please note: the studio is located on the first floor and accessed via stairs only. Unfortunately, there is no wheelchair access at present, and attendees must be able to independently ascend and descend the stairway. A final word Wild Soul Stillness is not an escape from life. It’s a way of meeting it with more space and steadiness. Come to rest. Leave feeling quietly restored.
