Yoga at Wild Soul Studio
Movement that teaches your body it's safe to rest.
At Wild Soul Studio, yoga isn't about perfect poses or Instagram-worthy flexibility. It's trauma-informed movement designed to help your nervous system remember what calm feels like.

Our Approach
This isn't generic yoga.
Every class is thoughtfully designed with your nervous system in mind. We work with breath, intelligent movement, and somatic awareness to help you shift out of chronic stress patterns and into embodied presence.
You won't be pushed to "go deeper" or perform. You'll be guided to listen - to your breath, your body, the subtle signals your nervous system is sending. This is yoga as regulation, not achievement.

What Makes This Different
Trauma-informed teaching led by a registered nurse with 20+ years experience, and trauma-informed yoga teacher.
I understand what it means to operate under pressure, and I know how to hold space for bodies that have been holding on tight.

Small, intimate groups (maximum 11)
You're never invisible here. With class sizes this small, I can see you, adapt to what your body needs, and offer genuine support - not generic cues shouted across a crowded room.

Nervous system focus
We're not just stretching. We're working with your autonomic nervous system, helping your body shift from survival mode into rest and restoration. This is the missing piece most yoga classes don't address.

No performance required
Come wound up, exhausted, tight, or simply curious. There's no "right way" to be here. Just space to move, breathe, and soften at your own pace.

The Benefits (Beyond Flexibility)
For your nervous system:
Shifts you out of fight-or-flight and into rest-and-digest. Helps regulate chronic stress, anxiety, and overwhelm.

For your body:
Releases chronic tension patterns (especially in shoulders, neck, jaw, hips). Improves mobility and builds sustainable strength. Supports better sleep and energy.

For your mind:
Creates space between stimulus and reaction. Builds capacity to stay present even when life feels overwhelming. Offers practical tools you can use off the mat.

The research backs this up: Regular yoga practice reduces cortisol levels, improves heart rate variability (a key marker of nervous system health), decreases anxiety and depression symptoms, and supports better sleep quality.

This isn't woo - it's evidence-based nervous system work.

This Is For You If:
-
You're carrying chronic tension in your body (tight shoulders, clenched jaw, rigid hips)
-
You feel "wired and tired" and struggle to switch off
-
You've tried yoga before but it felt too fast, too performative, or just didn't click
-
You need practical tools for managing stress and overwhelm
-
You want movement that actually helps you feel calmer, not more depleted
-
You're looking for a space where you can stop performing and just be

You don't need to be flexible, experienced, or "good at" yoga.
You just need to be willing to show up and breathe.

New to Yoga?
Perfect. You're exactly who we want here.

Your first class might feel unfamiliar. You might not know what to do with your hands or when to breathe. That's completely normal and absolutely welcome.

I'll guide you through everything clearly, offer modifications, and check in with you throughout. There's no pressure to keep up or look a certain way. Just an invitation to move, breathe, and notice what happens.

The hardest part is showing up. After that, we've got you.

Your Practice, Your Pace
At Wild Soul Studio, yoga is more than a workout - it's a practice of coming home to yourself.
Come exactly as you are. Stay as long as you need. This is your space.
