ABOUT ME

My name is Sara, and I’m the founder of Wild Soul Studio.

Before opening the studio, I spent over twenty years working as a Registered Nurse. Much of that time was in high-pressure environments, including service as a nursing officer with the RAF during the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts, and later working as the sole clinician in the Australian Embassy in Baghdad during the COVID pandemic.

Those roles required a particular way of being: steady under pressure, attuned to people and situations, able to respond calmly and clearly when things were uncertain. That way of working has shaped me deeply — and it continues to inform how I teach.

Alongside my nursing career, I trained as a yoga teacher, personal trainer, and massage therapist. Over time, these strands came together into a way of working that’s practical, perceptive, and grounded in real bodies and real lives.

WHY WILD SOUL STUDIO

Wild Soul Studio came into being through practice — and through listening.

It wasn’t created as a response to a problem to be fixed, but as an act of following what felt true. An offering, made without certainty about how it would unfold.

In the language of yoga, this is Ishvara Pranidhana — placing the work in service of something greater, and allowing practice to lead.

Wild Soul is a space for practice — not performance. A place where strength and softness aren’t opposites, and where awareness is cultivated gradually, through steady return.

We honour yoga’s roots here, not as an aesthetic, but as a living tradition. Yoga, at its heart, is a practice of union — a remembering. The postures, breath, and attention we work with on the mat are not ends in themselves, but gateways: ways of quieting distraction, refining awareness, and orienting toward something deeper.

Practice becomes a way of learning how to meet life — and oneself — with greater steadiness, humility, and clarity.

Nothing is forced. Nothing is imposed.
The practice reveals what it reveals, in its own time.

TEACHING STYLE
Classes are calm, intentional, and thoughtfully structured.

You won’t be pushed to perform, fix yourself, or reach for intensity for its own sake. Instead, you’ll be guided to move with awareness, build strength intelligently, and develop a relationship with your body that feels trustworthy and sustainable.

Small group sizes allow teaching to remain personal without being overwhelming. You’re seen here, but not scrutinised. Supported, without being rushed.

This is practice for people who want depth without drama, strength without hardness, and a way of moving that carries beyond the mat and into daily life.

ABOUT THE SPACE

Wild Soul Studio was created as a place for embodied practice.

It exists for people who want to move with awareness, build sustainable strength, and spend time in their bodies without pressure or performance.

Classes are intentionally small, allowing for attention without intensity. Practice unfolds gradually, with space to explore, refine, and grow stronger over time.

It’s not a place to be worked on or rescued.

It’s a place to practise — to move, breathe, and develop a steady, respectful relationship with your body.
