Service Description

Movement that teaches you how your body actually works. Functional Foundations is intelligent, accessible yoga focused on building strength, mobility, and balance that serves you on and off the mat. This is yoga for longevity - helping you feel strong, stable, and capable in your body for decades to come. What to Expect We explore key yoga postures and transitions with time to actually understand how your body moves. Clear alignment cues combined with the freedom to find what works for your unique body. Steady pacing that allows you to learn, not just follow. Options to challenge yourself or keep it accessible. A focus on functional movement patterns that translate into everyday life - getting up from the floor, carrying things, moving with ease. This isn't about achieving perfect poses. It's about developing body awareness, building sustainable strength, and moving with confidence and control. This Is For You If: You're new to yoga and want to build a solid foundation. You've been practicing for years but want to refine your understanding of alignment and movement. You're looking for intelligent practice that supports your body long-term, not just in the moment. You want to feel strong and capable in your body - whether you're 25 or 65. This is yoga that teaches you to move well for life. Please note: The studio is on the first floor and only accessible via stairs. Unfortunately, there is no wheelchair access at present, and all attendees must be able to independently ascend/descend the stairway.
